Ronda Beckerleg Thraen

Ronda has practiced business and corporate law for more than twenty years, previously as a partner at Osborn Maledon, PA and now at Beckerleg Thraen Law, PLC, which she founded in 2015. 


Ronda's practice focuses on commercial transactions, mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, financings, real estate transactions, corporate governance, general business and corporate matters, contract negotiations, business disputes, and serving as outside general counsel for businesses ranging from start-ups to middle market companies. Ronda enjoys working with a variety of clients, including entrepreneurs, investors, and companies at all stages from formation through growth and exit stages.

Before she began practicing law in 1995, Ronda spent over ten years as a financial consultant providing investment advisory services and overseeing regulatory and compliance matters for a securities broker-dealer.

Ronda is a Past Chair of the Business Law Section of the State Bar of Arizona, and continues to serve as a Member of the Executive Council of the Business Law Section.


Ronda is actively involved in ACG-Arizona (Association for Corporate Growth, Arizona Chapter) and serves as a member of its Board of Directors.

Ronda is also active in community projects.  She has served for many years as Vice President and on the Board of Directors of the Morris Institute for Justice, a non-profit group dedicated to helping to ensure access to justice for low-income Arizonans.  Ronda previously served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Arizona Zoological Society, which operates the Phoenix Zoo, and as the President and a member of the Board of Directors of the Wildest Club in Town, a volunteer group supporting the Phoenix Zoo and its conservation projects.


Ronda graduated summa cum laude with top honors from Arizona State University Law School in 1995, and received its Outstanding Graduate Award that year.

​Sherra Kissee

Sherra came to Beckerleg Thraen Law in November 2015 to pursue a career in corporate law.

Ronda has practiced business and corporate law for more than twenty years, previously as a partner at Osborn Maledon, PA and now at Beckerleg Thraen Law, PLC, which she founded in 2015.

Prior to entering the legal field, Sherra worked for over twenty years in the accounting industry.  Her experience included serving as an accounting supervisor for an umbrella company in Branson, Missouri, overseeing the financials for five multi-million dollar resorts.

In 2014, while attending law school, Sherra received a top honors award from the Appalachian School of Law (ASL), the Spirit of ASL.  Sherra played a big role in listening to what the students needed and implementing what was necessary to make their voices heard.  She also received top honors for her role as the Editing Manager of the Appalachian School of Law Journal of Law, where she trained and critiqued the students' writing and editing for the journal.

Sherra and her husband moved to Arizona upon graduating from law school in 2014.  She worked for one year as a legal assistant at a family law firm prior to joining Beckerleg Thraen Law.  Sherra now enjoys life in Arizona with her husband and looks forward to a career in corporate law along side Ronda.
